AN ECHO THAT NEVER FADES  PART 3

Jacquard textiles, cream candies printed with soldier imagery, archival candy wrapper, video essay, cream fragrance essence, wooden structure

The three jacquard textiles unfold as woven fragments of ideological residue, where revolutionary slogans, confectionery images, and decorative excess are entangled in the same historical surface. The candies arranged on the floor in a centrifugal diagram suggest both the mechanical separation of matter and the repeated circulation of desire around an invisible center. The archival candy wrapper, marked with “Never Forget Class Struggle,” becomes a small but volatile witness: a militant language enclosing the sweetness of cream. Here, sweetness does not promise innocence. It lingers as a seductive and nauseating trace, exposing the fragility of purity and the instability of political taste. The video essay operates as a discursive undercurrent, while the cream scent diffused through the space forms an invisible sculpture. It cannot be viewed from a distance; it enters through breath, invading the body before interpretation. History is no longer fixed in image or archive, but returns as atmosphere—soft, persistent, and impossible to fully refuse.
